ZPK A-24 DF

Designed as a smaller version of the original long barreled A-24, the A-24 DF(Direct Fire) packs stronger frontal armor and improved anti-air defense systems.

A stalemate on Wye and a shortage of L-05 tanks forced developers to come up with a new way to destroy Wye heavy bunkers and defend friendly troops against low flying ship attacks. In Febuary of 2014 a prototype dubbed "GC113" rolled out of Ziropak factory 17. Testing went on for 18 months until higher ups ordered the testing be cancelled. The A-24 DF designation had already been given by the time news reached the developers and a order of 6 units had been made. The order to cancel was due to Niyan and Kiperland forces gaining complete air superiority over Wye territories thanks to the aid of Kiperland ships. This prompted an all out bombing campaign. Strategic and strike bombers attacked weak points in the Wyian defenses which practically eliminated the A-24 DF purpose. Of the 6 units built, 4 were sold as scrap and the remaining 2 were sent to research facilities. The original prototype remained on it's testing grounds, trying out various weapons and equipment.
